Before Laser Hair Removal Treatment
What to do:
For three weeks before and after treatment there should be no exposure to sunlamps,
sun tanning beds or natural sunlight. On the day of the treatment bathe and shave
the areas to be treated. Make sure you do not apply moisturizers, deodorant or makup
to the area. Be prompt for your appointment.
What NOT to do:
Do not wax, tweeze or have electrolysis for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment.
Do not tan in the area to be treated for at least 4 week prior to threatment (tanned skin
cannot be safely treated). Do not use self-tanning products for at least 2 weeks prior to
treatment.
After Laser Hair Removal Treatment
What to expect:
Treatment area may be mildly red, this disappears within a few hours. Within a few days
to four weeks, tiny hairs will begin to shed from the follicles, this will continue for
several weeks.
What NOT to do:
Do not apply any topical numbing cream to the treated area. Do not hve hot baths or work out
for at least 24 hours. Do not rub the area. Do not use any deodorants, moisturizers or make
up on the treated area for at least 24 hours. Do not expose the area to sun, tanning beds or
excessive heat for at least 48 hours; after this period use sun-block on treated are when
outdoors.
