Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is natural, simple and effective form of mechanical exfoliation using crystals to gently and powerfully remove the outer layer of superfluous skin cells revealing a more youthful complexion. It is a non-invasive and effective anti-aging treatment. When microdermabrasion is performed in a well-controlled manner it minimizes skin trauma, alters the epidermis and promotes cell renewal to create a healthy, balanced skin surface.
The treatment begins with an analysis of the skin, followed by cleansing, microdermabrasion exfoliation, toner and an all natural botanical nourishing moisturizer, the treatment ends with an application of anhydrous sunscreen. Since the outermost layer of the skin has been removed it is very important to continue to protect your skin from sun exposure and wear sunscreen. Home care recommendations are provided. A combined facial cleansing and microdermabrasion treatment takes approximately 60 minutes. After treatment it is possible to return to normal activity.
For the best results, a series of treatments are recommended, the number is depedent on your skin type and condition. Initially four to twelve sessions are typically required approximately 10 to 14 days apart. Once the initial treatments are completed it is recommended that monthly treatments continue in order to maintain the desired result.
